(b Leslie, e Aberdeen on 25th Jan 1916, placed in the Army Reserve. He was mobilized on 11th Dec 1916 and arrived at Le Havre, France on 11th August 1917 and to Guards Division Base Depot at nearby Harfleur. Joined 2nd battalion in the field on 21st August. Reported missing in action on 12th October 1917. He was qualified as as Lewis Gunner)
