Roclincourt Valley Cemetery, France

Roclincourt Valley Cemetery is situated amid rolling farm land and is reached along a rough, narrow track in the section of the British line from which Willie Milne and the 6th Gordons advanced at the start of the Battle of Arras.
Originally named Roclincourt Forward Cemetery No.2 it was begun after 9th April 1917 by The 51st Highland Division. Battlefield graves were concentrated here after the Armistice. It is known that Willie was previously buried at map reference 62B.5.13.B.1.7. It is believed this was either Roclincourt Long Cemetery or Thelus Road Cemetery, both to the north of Roclincourt village.
